Slips explosive packer (SEP)

Download

Purpose

Slips packers are used to install drillable bridges in fixed well intervals.

Features and advantages.

  • lowering into the well on cable and pipes;
  • good permeability in the well due to the reduced outer diameter;
  • setting in the well with the energy of powder gases with a constant force, regardless of the depth
  • the possibility of liquidation by drilling out;
  • unification with other types of explosive packers.

The purpose of the slips hydraulic packer is to separate cased intervals and pipes in exploration, production and injection wells filled with liquid or gas. The equipment is used at pressures up to 500 atm. and temperatures up to 110°C.

The hydraulic packer consists of a ground part and an underground (borehole) part. The ground part includes a power supply unit and a packer setting control unit. The underground part consists of a hydraulic packer setting device and the actual packer part.

Equipment advantages:

  • allows to clean the well with minimal costs;
  • reduces the well repair costs;
  • simple and reliable design;
  • trouble-free operation;
  • intuitive control and constant monitoring;
  • effective separation of productive layers.

HSP differ in standard sizes. JSC “BVT” supplies packers with outer diameter from 102 to 146 mm and weight from 11 to 28 kg. The model is chosen depending on the well type and operational conditions.

The device requires a voltage of 220-230V with a frequency of 50 Hz. Power consumption: 0.2 kW.
