Technological support for directional drilling
Technological, telemetry, and engineering support for drilling is a rapidly developing area of expertise at BVT. We apply both advanced developments from our own research department and the latest domestic and global innovations to ensure maximum efficiency and safety in well construction.
We pay articular attention to drilling inclined, horizontal, and multilateral wells, where modern telemetry methods and digital technologies provide the required level of control.
Goals and Objectives
The construction of complex-profile oil and gas condensate wells often takes place under non-standard geological and technological conditions. Qualified support is the key to successful, efficient, and cost-effective drilling.
The main goal of the Directional Drilling Division of BVT is to ensure comprehensive control and timely response to changes during the drilling process to optimize well construction.
Tasks addressed:
Geonavigation and maximization of productivity
Ensuring the maximum effective wellbore length within the productive formation through high-precision geonavigation, leading to an increase in initial and cumulative production rates.
Risk management
Reducing the risk of force majeure and emergency situations.
Cost optimization
Reducing the impact of adverse factors and optimizing financial and time expenditures.
Rapid response
Immediate response of BVT engineers and technologists to emerging challenges, and provision of optimal solutions.
Predictability
Timely adjustments that make the well construction process more predictable and efficient.
Key areas and technologies
Our specialists have fully mastered and successfully apply the following areas of technological support:
Wellbore trajectory control and management (LWD/MWD):
Use of LWD (Logging While Drilling) and MWD (Measurement While Drilling) systems. These systems are used to measure technological and spatial parameters of the well. Specialists receive real-time information about wellbore conditions via a hydraulic communication channel, enabling rapid trajectory control.
Engineering and technological support:
Includes all necessary procedures related to comprehensive monitoring of the construction of deviated, horizontal, and multilateral wells.
Information and technological monitoring:
Collection and processing of data received from telemetry systems. The information obtained enables continuous monitoring of the wellbore trajectory and the timely implementation of corrective measures in case of deviation from the planned profile.
Technical equipment
High-tech equipment is used to perform the work:
