Perfolab
PerfoLab is a specialized software solution developed by BVT. The suite is designed for precise optimization and forecasting of results related to secondary penetration of productive formations using BVT cumulative perforation systems.
The use of PerfoLab provides for a significant increase in the effectiveness of geological and technical operations and, as a result, boosts hydrocarbon recovery from wells.
- Advantages and Functionality
PerfoLab is a multifunctional tool that helps Customers choose the most effective solution and select the optimal equipment for blasting and perforating operations. The software enables highly accurate comparative calculations of multiple scenarios involving perforation systems of various types and corresponding shaped charges from BVT extensive product line, which includes more than 100 items.
- Modeled parameters
For accurate forecasting and calculation, the PerfoLab software takes into account the full range of input data, including equipment, well, and reservoir characteristics:
Equipment (blasting and perforating equipment): Types of perforation systems and shaped charges.
Casing string: Size, strength, and wall thickness of the casing; strength and density of the cement sheath.
Geometry: Relative positioning of the perforation system and the casing (alignment, presence of centralizers).
Environment: Type and properties of the well fluid.
Formation: Density, strength, reservoir properties, and formation pressure.
- Calculation Results and Forecasting
Based on a comprehensive analysis of the input data, PerfoLab provides critical results required to make informed technical decisions:
Perforation geometry: Precise calculation of the entry hole diameter in the casing and the predicted depth of penetration into the productive formation.
Skin factor: Calculation and forecasting of one of the key parameters affecting fluid inflow.
