Perforation technology with two initiating heads
Perforation technology with two initiating heads
Purpose:
Optimization of time and operational costs during secondary formation perforation by simultaneously using a universal initiation head and an absolute-pressure initiation head in the assembly—applicable in oil and gas wells with two development zones, as well as in wells requiring double perforation density.
Operating principle:
To activate the lower perforating assembly, overpressure is generated using a surface pump unit, which triggers the hydraulic initiation head. For the subsequent firing of the upper assembly, the TIS head (Target Initiation System) is activated by dropping a ball or rod into the tubing string.
Plug&Perf technology is not just another hydraulic fracturing method. This is a demonstration of the technological sovereignty and operational superiority that we have achieved.
Advantages:
- the time required for BPO is reduced by the period of one tripping operation – on average, the time saving is up to 24 hours
- resources are saved: less well-killing fluid is used;
- well workover costs are reduced
