BVT participated in the scientific and technical conference of LLC “RN-BashNIPIneft” with a report on the production experience in applying the Plug&Perf technology at the facilities of PJSC “NK Rosneft”

BVT specialists took part in a large-scale scientific and technical conference “Innovative technologies in hydrocarbon production”, which was held on May 20-23 by the largest scientific institute of PJSC “NK Rosneft” LLC “RN-BashNIPIneft” and the State Scientific Institution “Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Bashkortostan”. More than 700 experts from leading oil industry companies discussed key issues of oil and gas production: from exploration to field development.

The section “Innovative technologies for developing hard-to-recover reserves. Practical aspects of hydraulic fracturing” was devoted to one of the most pressing issues for the Russian oil industry – the development of hard-to-recover reserves and unconventional reservoirs. The participants discussed innovative solutions in the field of horizontal well completion technologies and multi-stage hydraulic fracturing. The audience was interested in Rosneft experience in developing and implementing the Plug&Perf technology for multi-stage hydraulic fracturing. Its application at the Priobskoye field during multi-stage hydraulic fracturing made it possible to double the starting oil flow rate. Andrey Dykun, Chief Engineer of the Nefteyugansk branch of JSC “BVT”, reported on the production experience in these works, their results at the facilities of “RN-Yuganskneftegaz”, an import-independent equipment complex for the Plug&Perf technology, as well as on developments aimed at minimizing the risks of complications and improving performance. The company also presented the Competence Center project, successfully implemented by BVT with the aim of consolidating the expert potential for dealing with the current production issues associated with the Plug&Perf technology, as well as other innovative technologies for increasing oil recovery.
